There is no direct route to the Matsumoto Bus Terminal 松本バスターミナル.
One will need to take the bus from Kamikochi Bus Terminal 上高地バスターミナル to Shinshimashima Station 新島々駅, then board the JR train from Shinshimashima Station 新島々駅 to Matsumoto Station 松本駅.
There are no direct buses from Kamikochi 上高地 to Matsumoto City 松本市, unlike the opposite route which has the direct bus National Park Liner ナショナルパークライナー.
However, things are more straightforward using the local buses. All local buses will get to Shinshimashima Station 新島々駅 without any transfers.
You can then transfer to a JR train to Matsumoto Station 松本駅 from Shinshimashima Station 新島々駅.
