How to go to Mount Ryokami 両神山
You can access Mount Ryokami 両神山 from Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口 trailhead, which can be reached from Mitsumineguchi Station 三峰口駅.
Hiking Trails to Mount Ryokami 両神山
There is only 1 trail we would recommend to hike up Mount Ryokami 両神山, the Hinata Ooya Trail 日向大谷コース. The other trails are difficult and inaccessible.
The main public transportation option to Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口 departs from Mitsumineguchi Station 三峰口駅.
A viable alternative is to stay over at Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯 area or the Ryokami Sanso 両神山荘 and embark your climb early in the morning.
Another option is to take a bus from Seibu-Chichibu Station 西武秩父駅 and transfer to another bus at Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯 to reach Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口.
However, we don't recommend this option as you will be starting your journey later, unless you plan to stay over around the Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯 area or the Ryokami Sanso 両神山荘 right at the trailhead. Mount Ryokami 両神山 can be a brutal climb.
The most common way to get to Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口, the trailhead of Mount Ryokami 両神山 is to board the Ogano Town Bus 小鹿野町営バス. It is a compact vehicle that serves not only hikers but also daily commuters, as depicted in the image below.
Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口
Elevation: 2,198 feet / 670m
Depending on what time you board the bus, you can either get to Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口 directly from Mitsumineguchi Station 三峰口駅, or you may have to transfer bus at Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯.
In the schedule below, not all the buses will take you directly to Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口. Only those with a timing in the Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口 row do. Please take note.

The direct option is only available at certain timings. If you miss it or are not able to match the departure timings, you can still get to Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口 via a bus transfer at Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯.

At Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯, you will need to transfer to the Ogano Town Bus (Ascend) 小鹿野町営バス (上り) as covered earlier.
This is the same direct bus that you can take from Mitsumineguchi Station 三峰口駅 to get to Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口 directly or indirectly. Here is the schedule again.

The most common way to depart Mount Ryokami 両神山 is via Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口.
You can either take the descending route on the Ogano Town Bus 小鹿野町営バス to reach Mitsumineguchi Station 三峰口駅, or do a bus transfer at Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯 to get to Mitsumineguchi Station 三峰口駅 or Seibu-Chichibu Station 西武秩父駅.
In the schedule below, note that all buses don't necessarily take you directly to Mitsumineguchi Station 三峰口駅. You may need to transfer at Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯.

There is no direct bus to Seibu-Chichibu Station 西武秩父駅 straight from Hinata Ooyaguchi 日向大谷口. You would need to transfer bus at Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯.
After your hike, consider rewarding yourself with a relaxing dip in the onsen at Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯 as you wait for your bus to get back to Seibu-Chichibu Station 西武秩父駅.
Take the same bus heading to Mitsumineguchi Station 三峰口駅 and alight at Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯.

Should you be tight for time to take a dip in the onsen at Yakushi Onsen 薬師の湯, you can always take the Seibu-Chichibu Station Line (Descend) 西武秩父駅線 (下り) to Seibu-Chichibu Station 西武秩父駅 and visit the Matsuri Onsen 西武秩父駅前温泉 祭の湯 right in front of it.
Unfortunately, since that is tourist spot, the price and human traffic will be relatively high.
